Portrait of My Friend
November 2022. Oil on canvas, 16" x 20"
This painting was awarded a Scholastic Gold Key and was used for the cover of Scholastic's student exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (available online at https://www.metmuseum.org/exhibitions/scholastic-awards-2023/selected-artworks). After its display in the Met, I sold it to a client who subsequently commissioned other work from me.

Portrait of My Mom
January 2022. Oil on canvas, 24" x 30"
This was my first time experimenting with a more intimate style of portraiture, and I fell in love with it. This piece was featured in the 2022 issue of the Saint Ann’s Art Journal and in the 2022 Saint Ann’s Art Show.

Head Rush
October 2022. Oil on canvas, 16" x 20"
This is an example of a more scene-focused and stylized portrayal, which is also possible if preferred. This piece was featured in the Winter 2022-2023 issue of the Saint Ann's Times.

Portrait of Niko

Furry loved ones are not excluded from portraiture! This portrait of a friend's dog was given as a gift.
